FRC Practice Field
WWFIRST hosts a communal full sized practice field for our teams, and invites other FRC teams to use it during the competition season.

Are you interested in hosting a practice field for the season?
Space Requirements
- Absolute minimum size of 35′ x 70′, but 40′ x 80′ or larger would be better to provide room for teams to make repairs to their robots around the outside of the field.
- The ceilings must be >10′ high, and the higher the better in case the game requires it.
- Teams generally need a few weeks to design and build their robots, so the critical time to have the practice field is February 1st – April 30th, however, January 1st – April 30th would be preferred.
- Teams need access to Washrooms.
- The field takes a full day to set-up/dismantle, so it needs to remain set up for the entire duration.
- Several 120V electrical outlets are required for teams to plug in laptops, battery chargers, etc.
- Teams require flexible access to the space. The field is generally used late afternoons and evenings, as well as full days on weekends, holidays, and during March Break. At critical times, teams may use the space past midnight.
- Parking/unloading space is required.
- Doors & hallways must be wide enough to bring in carpet, field components, robot carts, and tool chests.
- Preferably no stairs to get to the space.
- Robots are very loud, so the area would need to be in a space that wouldn’t cause a distraction to others.
- Field components are built from lumber & plywood, and can get beat up, so the space may not look “pretty” while the field is set up.
- Access to WiFi would be extremely helpful.
